Boudoir has become a popular style of photography in the past couple of years, but with the positives have come some negative associations as well. It is not uncommon for people to be hesitant in shooting boudoir because of the idea of certain content that crosses the line of sensuality to a more sexier version of this particular photography style. There is a massive spectrum of what we consider “boudoir” and there are not very many distinctive names to say which part of the spectrum we are talking about.

Read MoreI had the pleasure of working with a client who wanted to capture the beauty of moving past a tough time and blooming into a new and gentler stage. The idea for the shoot was to shape the setting around her and what she wished to convey creatively. I pictured the Amazon forest and Amazonian strength and brought in greenery to the studio. The green leaves were included to represent a soft yet firm fresh start and fog was added to some images to solidify the forest setting by alluring to the humidity in rainforests.

From the very beginning we discussed picking two colors, grey and yellow. The grey to represent the foggy winter mornings, the yellow to represent warm sunny days.
