The inspiration for both the session and headpiece were based of a drawing drawn by a young girl while hiding in the bomb shelter. The focus revolves around a young girl that brings hope of everything flourishing again after a time of darkness. The headpiece, a floral arch, represents the spirit while the flowers and birds on the arch represent Spring.

The idea for the shoot was to shape the setting around her and what she wished to convey creatively. I pictured the Amazon forest and Amazonian strength and brought in greenery to the studio. The green leaves were included to represent a soft yet firm fresh start and fog was added to some images to solidify the forest setting by alluring to the humidity in rainforests.

From the very beginning we discussed picking two colors, grey and yellow. The grey to represent the foggy winter mornings, the yellow to represent warm sunny days. The combination coming together to capture the feeling of serenity that comes when nature all around us becomes colorful once again.
