5 Easy Boudoir Poses on the Floor
With more and more clients reaching out to do boudoir styled shoots we decided to share our five most popular boudoir poses with you. These poses can be done on the bare floor or a blanket can be used to cover the area and create a theme. It will also be more comfortable and easier on the knees. Since the holidays are around the corner, having red colors or themed items in the background can really add to the photos. As seen on the video below, we used a fireplace as a prop to give the images a warmer tone. Fire props are great for boudoir pictures!

For the first pose one can lay on their stomach and extend their hands forward. Remember when posing hands to always use delicate gestures and be careful not to tense up the fingers. This will make the pose look natural and feminine. Put the weight on your elbows to make it easier to lift up the upper body and pull the shoulders back. Bend one knee and cross that foot over the other to create angles and highlight the lower body. Once you are comfortable, arch the back as much as possible and lift the booty up. You can achieve many different moods for this pose based on the facial expression given. Looking at the camera with parted lips will give more of a sexier look, while a gaze to the side with a giggle will be more flirtatious.

For the second pose simply bring back that knee from the first pose and lower the upper body. With the feet, raise one higher than the other to create a “v” shape and make the composition more visually appealing. Remember to keep those feet pointed! Again, the mood of the photo is all based on the facial expression you give. However, this pose tends to be more on the sensual side as the focus is on the lower body.

From there we can go into the third pose by lowering the booty and turning it to the side. We will keep the upper body as we had it for the first pose and only turn the lower body. Since one is now facing the camera, lift the booty up and turn it to the side enough for the camera to capture it fully. As this one is showing more booty, a softer facial expression can balance out the photo and make it look fun and flirty.

The forth pose we want to mention is a very popular one because it is a bit more comfortable and easier to maintain since we are using the floor. One can lay on their back and simply bend one knee a bit and hug it over the other one. Turn the face towards the opposite direction and raise the hand from that side towards the head. Very Rose from Titanic here! The other hand can be placed below the chest facing up, again, very soft here with the hands. This pose is best captured from a higher angle so get creative and stay safe.

Our very last pose is wonderful if you’re looking to really highlight the waist and hips. The subject will be on their side facing the camera where naturally the hips will really stand out as gravity narrows the waist. Have the hand that is on the upper side extend across the body towards the legs, while bringing the opposite hand towards the lips. Look towards the legs to show off the neck and compose a picture with lots of triangles to keep the gaze moving. This elegant pose will definitely add height as it accentuates the curves, making the female look majestic.
