Boudoir photo sessions may have started out primarily as individually oriented, but today they make for a great couples session to do for casual fun or rekindle the fire in a relationship. Intimacy is a beautiful thing between two people that captures organically in images. The gaze between a couple, the laughs, or even things that you cannot see, like tension, can also be captured and felt in the final photos.

It is a beautiful connection that I advise all of my clients to partake in to make memories with their loved ones that will last forever, while also having a lot of fun. From feedback, my clients feel closer to their partners after the shoot and it brings on more passion in their personal relationship.

Professional couples’ boudoir sessions include a lot of guidance with posing and tips that will ensure the couple is comfortable and will achieve their desired results from the shoot. The session will typically start with full outfits, maybe a beautiful dress and nice outfit for the gentleman and with posing the couple can ease into the moment, laugh, and get comfortable. Then we work on the connection between the two by doing shots of them closer together, hugging, hands on their partners face, soft kisses, etc.

We do a bit of high end James Bond style photos with lots of passion by bringing the couple closer together and do poses as if they are about to kiss but don’t. These create great tension and make for gorgeous fiery images while also on an intimate level having the couple rekindle those early on feelings of the relationship where they hadn’t yet kissed but wanted to.

We then can move on to lingerie sets for the woman and the shirt can come off for the man. We work on a set and posing again is important to achieve great unique images by creating triangles and intricate body art.

Depending on the clients and what they want out of the session, the photoshoot can then move on to fine art nude or bodyscape styled images if they wish. These are wonderful for intimate photo albums that the couple can look back on and remember forever.

My goal as a creator is not only to provide unique high end images, but also to give my clients an experience that will stay with them long after the shoot. Couples boudoir sessions are for me a great way to reconnect and be reminded of the love shared in the time spent together. We can get busy and caught up with our everyday life that we sometimes should remember to notice the little things that made us fall in love in the first place.

By removing the outside world and doing something as a couple that is adventurous and unique, it allows for the focus to be solemnly on a partner and the love shared. The images from the photoshoot can be made into a photo book or also received as large prints to be hang up at home.

Whatever works best for my clients and is their ultimate goal can be discussed prior to the shoot for posing, style and mood of images, full color or black and white prints, ect.
