I want to start by thanking all the photographers out there who follow me and subscribed to my YouTube channel. I recently posted a full Boudoir Photography session video on YouTube, so other photographers and my clients can see how I work. I received lots of support, and some very good critiques on my video. The main critiques I received were the audio quality, the gimbal’s unnecessary pans, and not showing the final images. Unfortunately, I am not able to go back and change the audio or the footage, but I can add few final images.

In this photo, my soft box, Rotalux Deep Octabox 100 cm (39"), was placed outside the studio and I caught a soft light through the window. I was able to get a beautiful reflection from the softbox in the sunglasses.

Challenges in the Video Recording

One of the biggest challenges we faced for the video was using the dji gimbal osmo mobile 2. The way the gimbal is designed, the charging or audio port of the iphone faces the gimbal’s arm, and there is no way around it. However, in the newer model, dji gimble osmo mobile 3, dji solved this issue. If you own a newer model iphone with the charging port in the middle, make sure to purchase the dji gimble osmo mobile 3. The other issue was that the person recording the video never used a gimbal before :) The gimbal is really amazing though and I love it. I found an alternative solution for the audio, which I will share in another blog and video. Please leave a comment if you have any solutions to this problem.
