Monique Maxwell | Beauty Therapist, Fayetteville, NC. How to Take Care of Your Skin.

BACKGROUND
Monique is a German/American Beauty Therapist, born in Saint Petersburg, Florida and grew up in Germany. Monique’s mother is German, and her father was an American pilot for a German Airline, which gave Monique the opportunity to be fluent in both languages and explore all Europe and European cultures. After Monique moved to United States, she married a U.S. Soldier and got stationed in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Currently Monique is mother of a 10 years old daughter and a beauty therapist. When I asked her how does she manage to be a Mom and a successful Beauty Therapist, she responded, “Motherhood is a choice you make everyday. To put someone else's happiness and well-being ahead of your own, to teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing event when you don't know what the right thing is, and to forgive yourself over and over again for doing everything wrong.” My next question to Monique was about her life in Fayetteville. Moving from Europe to the small town of Fayetteville seems like a huge lifestyle change. Monique responded, “When I first moved to Fayetteville, it definitely took some getting used to. I was part from my family and friends and had a hard time fitting in and I felt like I was lost. Looking back, I realized now that I had to feel lost to find myself. I've learned that sometimes when you feel like everything is falling apart things may just falling into place. I finally found my purpose. Everyday I am trying to be a better version of who I was yesterday.”

BEAUTY CAREER
Monique’s Career in the Beauty field started from working in Estée Lauder. She loved her job and loved making women feel happy and beautiful, and said. “I just feel I love with how it felt... to see woman feel so beautiful and confident when they left my makeup counter. Beauty is the opposite of perfection, it’s all about confidence, charisma, character, and helping woman find their confidence and rocking that red lipstick just left me wanting more! I wanted to be able to offer my clients so much more when it came to their beauty needs! My goal was to become a 'One stop shop'” Monique continued her beauty career for Estée Lauder on the weekends and began her career as an Esthetician during the week. In 2012, Monique started a new career at the Sanctuary at Cedar Creek as a temporary job, but she loved her job so much that until today May 5th, 2018, she is still working for the company. However, Monique had to work really hard to build her clientele, and according to her, “Growing up in Germany has definitely taught me about work ethics and working hard for what you want. I am a strong believer that Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally. It comes from what you do consistently, and I pride myself in always being consistent with my clients.”

BUSINESS ROLE MODEL
One unique aspect of Monique, also known as The Pinup Girl, is that she is consistent in her style and dressing. Monique has a specific style that is well-known in the Whole Fayetteville. She believes that she must look the best and she must take care of her own skin the best, so she is a role model for her brand. As Monique always says, “Beauty has nothing to do with looks. It’s how you are as a person and how you make others feel about themselves. I personally believe that if you feel your best you look your best!”

FLAWLESS BEAUTY BY MONIQUE
At the first day of 2018, Monique founded her own brand, Flawless Beauty by Monique, providing beauty services such as, Microblading, Hair Removal, Eyelash Extensions, and Skincare in Fayetteville, NC. Currently Monique is the most successful Beauty Therapist in Fayetteville and a 5 star business owner. Monique's brand is unique and illustrates who she truly is and what she truly believes in.
