When I first heard about boudoir photo shoots I was very hesitant towards the idea. My friend kept telling me to look into it. But I never did because it was just something that made me feel uncomfortable. Then one day I was sitting on the couch trying to figure out something to get my husband for Valentine’s Day. I happened to stumble upon a boudoir photo shoot ad. The woman in the pictures looked gorgeous. She was portrayed so elegantly that it made me rethink my stance on boudoir photography. As I continued to scroll through the pictures, I imagined myself as the model and thought about how my husband would adore a gift like this. It is something different that could take him by surprise. Something he would never expect. I thought about all our past Valentine’s Days and how we always did the typical day. I would get a bouquet of flowers with some chocolates and sometimes a teddy bear with jewelry. I’d always rack my brain trying to figure out something to get him before I settled on a watch or some house hold thing he has talked about needing.

I started to become very interested in what a boudoir photoshoot was all about. These pictures I was looking at were stunning and so much different than what I imagined a boudoir photoshoot could capture. She was confidently flaunting her curves while looking so classy and elegant. I knew my husband would be pleasantly surprised if he opened his gift and found a photo book of sexy pictures of me. I decided to go beyond my comfort zone and tried it out. I was nervous at first but fell in love with the results. I held the pictures of myself in my hands and was amazed at the way my body looked. Whether you are male or female, people will pick apart your body no matter how it looks. This is why it was hard for me to put myself out there and to think I could do a boudoir photoshoot. But as I admired the pictures of me in my hands, I LOVED the way every curve of my body was captured.
