Depending on the package you’ve gone for, you may need one or several outfits. Picking your clothes is a super important step, as you’ll need to ensure that you’re wearing pieces that make you feel comfortable, sexy and confident! Try on a few different lingerie styles to figure out what works for you and your body shape.
There’s no need to splurge, but it’s worth investing in lingerie that makes you feel extra special – this day is all about feeling good. For inspiration, you could flip through your favourite fashion magazine, or check out the online portfolio of the studio you are visiting. Think heels, props and plenty of lace! Bring at least one or two bra and panty sets – corsets, garters and nylons are also great. A silk robe to wrap yourself in is also super versatile and looks incredible in photos.

The week leading up to your shoot is the best time to take care of hair removal. If you wish to wax, do this a few days ahead of the shoot to avoid redness and bumps. The same goes for exfoliating your skin. You could also take this opportunity to get your eyebrows shaped, your hair trimmed and a mani pedi! Your hands and feet can be used in very sensual ways in the shoot – so it’s worth putting some time into making them look their best.

It’s generally advised to avoid getting a spray tan or sunbathing – this is a disaster waiting to happen! While a natural base tan will look great in photos, streaky fake tan or sunburnt skin will not do you any favours.
Another great tip? Drink plenty of water to ensure your skin is luminous. You could also cut down your salt intake if you want to reduce water retention.
On the day, you should aim to arrive a little early. Hair and makeup will take up a certain amount of time, and you don’t want to compromise on shoot time! Try to relax and put your trust in the specialists – they will ensure that you look incredible on your special day.
